Piezoelectric Charge Output Accelerometers - Charge Output Accelerometers output a charge in pC/g proportional to the force applied to the piezoelectric material. This typeof accelerometer is able to withstand higher temperatures than IEPE vibration sensors, are generally more robust, and lower in cost. A charge amplifier is required with charge output vibration sensors to convert the charge output into a useable signal. Cable choice is of critical importance when choosing a charge output accelerometer - the charge outputs from these accelerometers is sensitive to cable type and length.
